Jeffrey Martin, MD

Jeffrey Martin, M.D. is a board certified ophthalmologist and Co-Founder of SightMD. His father founded the practice in 1962, and Dr. Martin is proud to have helped it become a regional leader in eye care. A specialist in LASIK and cataracts surgery, Dr. Martin has been teaching cataract surgery at the Northport VA Hospital for over 20 years.

Dr. Martin was born and raised in Smithtown, New York. He earned a biology degree summa cum laude from Muhlenberg College and was elected Phi Beta Kappa. He went on to receive his medical degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine. Dr. Martin completed his internship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York and served as chief resident in ophthalmology at Nassau County Medical Center.
