This bi-annual event is held in honor of our dear friend and colleague who lost his battle with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) in 2018. Dr. Frank Verdone was a well-known Long Island Optometrist who valued the impact that eye care could have on people's lives, and believed that the patient always comes first. Every year, ophthalmologists at SightMD lecture on a variety of topics to help educate our local optometric community and provide continuing education credits.
This Continuing Education Symposium will feature lectures by some of our newest doctors and will focus on the challenges we face as a community, and throughout the eye care industry during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
