Maria Barbe, MD

Dr. Maria Barbe is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in pediatric and adult strabismus. Dr. Barbe graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rensselear Polytechnical Institute and received her medical degree from Albany Medical College. After a residency at Albany Medical College/Lions Eye Institute, she completed a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology & Adult Strabismus at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.

Dr. Barbe’s personal time is devoted to family life with her husband and 3 children. In addition to actively participating in her children’s activities, she enjoys running, field hockey, and lacrosse.
